Anonymous Donations

Many people tell us that they support the goals of the Canadian Foundation for Drug Policy, but that they are reluctant to speak out on drug policy issues or to be identified publicly as supporting drug policy reform. Some hesitate to give money to the Foundation for the same reason -- concern about being publicly identified as a supporter of drug policy reform.

If you are unable to support our activities publicly, but nonetheless wish to help us promote sensible solutions to Canada's drug problems, please consider making an anonymous donation to the Foundation. We accept no government funding and are entirely dependent on the goodwill of individuals. In the past, the Foundation has received anonymous donations ranging from $5 to $5000. Please consider helping anonymously if you cannot do so publicly.

Please note that we are not a registered charity, and cannot therefore give charitable receipts for donations. While we would like to have charitable status, the government will likely be reluctant to grant such status to us in light of our opposition to many government drug policies.
